She makes paintings, drawings, and prints rooted in everyday life and small obsessions. She’s drawn to familiar things—animals, flowers, fruit, half-finished drinks, lived-in spaces—using them as a way to explore feeling, humor, and quiet moments. Her work is intuitive and process-heavy, with bold color, loose lines, and visible marks that are left to do their own thing. Art-making functions like visual journaling, a way to pay attention, repeat, and sit with feeling. The work is imperfect, tender, a little chaotic, and meant to live comfortably in real spaces alongside real life.

She grew up in an artistic family, surrounded by making and mess, and has been drawn to painting, drawing, and photography for as long as she can remember. More recently, ceramics snuck its way in and refuses to leave. For a long time, art was a side hobby—something she loved but didn’t believe could fully support someone. Sharing her work slowly changed that. By following curiosity and leaning into what fuled her, and learning that art can be both sustaining and expansive, making room to take creative risks and push her practice further.

Belly currently lives in the Chicagoland area with my husband and our puppy, Bean, where Belly Bodega continues to grow.
